I would like to know if the town of Mayumba is/was in the Ivory Coast area. I have letters from the mid 1880's from a missionary in Mamby Town which was just inland from Mayumba. This was a part of French Southwest Africa at the time, and the description seems to indicate that it was in present-day Ivory Coast.
