Debs, I was most interested in what you said about taking a western name and possibly the name of the priest/pastor who babtised them.
I am researching the family name of Cornah, and cannot find out how Cornah's came to be in Ghana as the name is predominantly from Lancashire, England, - except that some Cornah's were Ministers of the Church, and now I have a plausable reason, and a line of query.
Any more info about this would be greatly appreciated.
