G'day !
We are on Vancouver Island just now and staying with one of Dee's cousins.Their family tree from the Carey family goes right back to the 1300's and they originated in Gurnsey. Fascinating stuff. So I thought that I would check up on ours to see how you were getting on . I still have a lot of stuff from the Peneguys in New Orleans ( or did you take that with you ?). Anyway, I'll check up on that when we get home.
We have been across here since Aug 4 and have completed a 1400 mile cruise of the BC coast and I nside Passage. Just great as usual. Most of it was on a friends 52ft launch, but we had 12 days on the Duen, the boat that we charter every year for the groups that we organise. WE even managed to have a close encounter with a very large grizzly bear and had to make a strategic withdrawal to get out of his way !
We are due back home on Oct 14 but I have been asked to skipper an 85ft "superyacht" from San Francisco down to Cabo san Lucas in Mexico. The job would be for 8 weeks, so I might not get home until mid December. Dee will go home on Oct 14 .
Tams and Gareth are at present delivering a 90ft Swan ketch from Auckland to san Diego and are currently in Rarotonga.
Michael's new group and CD are going well having just completed a national tour.
Hope all is well with you guys
Cheers for now
