Trying to trace family from Mauritius.
The only information I have is an Edward Ambrose born Port Louis approx 1872. Father Henri Ambrose was deceased by 1901 not sure if in Mauritius. Mother Pauline surname possibly Tamini? writing on Edward's Marriage certificate is not very legible.

Edward must have migrated to NSW Australia but not sure when and with whom. On his NSW Marriage certificate dated 1901 it states he was a widower whose wife died 1900 but I can't find an Edward marrying in NSW prior to 1900 so again not sure if he was previously married in Mauritius or what.

I have found a reference to a T Ambrose arriving Hobson's Bay NSW from Port Louis in 1857 on the "Admiral Napier"
Any assistance or advice would be appreciated.
