Classification: Query
Surnames: ALLERTON KRAFT HOWELLS
I am looking for information on the following family. Edward Allerton came to South Africa about 1901, he brought his wife Emily Amelia Seers and son Edward Henry Augustus over in 1902. They had a daughter Dorothea Emma Jane Allerton in 1902. Edward passed away in 1907, and his wife Emily and 2 children moved to Australia.

Edward was born in 1879 in Wandsworth England to Augustus Allerton and Emma Jane Higman.

Edward brought his siblings over to South Africa (found on shipping records) - Lorenzo Allerton, Thomas Edwin Allerton and Emma Martha Allerton.

Thomas Edwin Allerton (b18/1/1884 England D25/10/1969 Roodepoort) married Theresia Maria Schwarzendahl in Johannesberg 14/02/1914. They had 3 children Theresa Maria (married a George Cornelius Kraft) and Augustus Allerton and Thomas Edwin Allerton (who had died at the time of his mothers death in 1969)

Thomas Edwin Allerton was in the armed forces when he was 38 years of age, joining in 1922, living in Protoria.
Emma Martha married William Matthias Howells 1 Nov 1906 in Newcastle Natal. On his records it states his children as being Edwin Valentine 14/02/14, Augustus Helder 27/8/16 and Therese Maria 3/8/18.

It looks like in 1944 he was released from full time due to arthritis in the knees from his military services and was living in Caledon Street, Standerton. In 1945 he was living in Roodepoort and received a war medal.

Lorenzo Married Amy Williams and together they had one child Dorothy Allerton. He died in 1935 in South Africa. From the reading of the will he was still married to Amy Allerton, born Williams, formerly Roberts and was temporarily residing in South Africa. He was in South Africa on business purposes. His wife Amy, their child of marriage and a child from her former marriage were living in England. He strongly stated in his will that he wanted these two children to stay in a boarding school and his wife to have no control over them. This will was written in 1928.

Does anyone have any information on any of these family lines at all??
