There are Arita decendants here in Enid, Oklahoma. As far as I know, the Aritas were rulers of Hawaii. I was told that they are decendants of a Hawaiian "king" and they recieve royalties from Hawaii.

I am looking for information on my husbands paternal grandparents.

His grandfather - Takafusa Kitano was from the Toyama area and was born in 1886. His mother's maiden name was Kasamata. He came to the US on the Kaga Maru in 1907.

His grandmother - Mutsu Nishimori also from Toyama, was born in 1902. Her mother's maiden name was Shimizu. She came to the US on the Hawaii Maru in 1920. The ship records show that she was from 173 Ota-mura, Kaminiikawa-gun, Toyama-ken.

Her father's first name began with a B.

Any info would be appreciated!

How do you find out information from Japan on a family?

I know that my husband's grandfather is Arthur Sato.

His father's name is something like Masao or Masozo Sato born about 1865 and lived in NY. We were told by many family members that Masao(?) was from a royal or noble family but that's all they knew.
He came over here in the 1890's but have not found the record yet. He did own a large piece of land in NY when he settled here, but lost it somehow to the state.
A friend that is from China said that the first name can actually give you the town of origin and then the house, but I would like to find out everything I can: his ancestors, his correct spelling, if there is a crest, any siblings, etc. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

This is our Mother. We know her mothers name was Miyo and her fathers name was Kentaro. She has several brothers who still live in Japan. She is close with one brother Shiro. We are searching for inforamtion on our Great Grandparents and any others in the family. we would like to pass our information on to our children.
We love and miss our mom very much.
The first picture is of Michiyo at about 24 years of age. My dad still carries these pictures in his wallet. The 2nd is 4 months before she died. at age 70 from cancer.

Masuzo Hagita

I am looking for any information about the family ancestors and history of Masuzo and Ichi Hagita in Tokyo or Chiba. Their children are Hagima, Minoru, Mariko, Tokie, and a half-brother Kurando. I'm a friend of Tokie (Hagita) Spitz. She married Jim Spitz an American Army soldier after WWII. I have some information that Masuzo Hagita was an engineer and may have been an inventor of a pump. I know the family left Tokyo and moved to Chiba during or after WWII, and that they have a family burial plot there, but I'm not sure of the exact location. My name is Jennifer and I am the grandaughter of Leroy T. Kuwasaki Sr. Great Grandaughter of Kumakichi Kuwasaki and Kito Arita. Please if you believe you have any info of possible help, please contact me. Please if you and I may have any relation I am looking for you, please contact me.

Some info that may help my great grandmother was Kito Arita, I believe to have been told she was from Kumamoto, Japan.
After my great grandparents got married the immigrated to the State of Hawaii with their children. Not much is known after this event.
Included in my query is a picture of my great grandparents.
