No, that's what most Filipinos will say, 1500s. It's a common recycled myth, same thing I hear from the younger generation, the older generation and even in my own family and other distant relatives and I've traced many people's (of that same town and the island from where my grandfather was from) but very frew foreigners.

But in the 1890 census (I may be off with that date by 10 years), they counted I believe was less than 2% of the population being foreigners.

If you and other family members have non-Filipino feature, then that would suggest a recent ancestor, plus the lack of moving away from the area the family originated from.
