Hi Connie. My grandmother, Emma Helena Bajor was born and raised in Batakiai, Lithuania. She was born on October 30,1892. She sailed on the ship: Ausonia---just before World War I started. Her ship "landed" in Halifax. Nova Scotia. Her next destination was Cochrane, Ontario. This is the town where she married my grandfather, Gustav Mansch on July 3,1914. They worked in a lumber camp (Jacksonboro, Ontario) until 1919---then they migrated to Flemington, New Jersey. I'm certain that since Batakiai had such a small population, that my grandmother knew your family---or maybe some of my ancestors married some of your ancestors. By the way, my name is Jonathan Lee Mansch; 1550 Bridge St, Apt D; New Cumberland, PA 17070-1121---E-mail: jlmansch@yahoo.com. If you would be interested, perhaps we could compare notes on our family backgrounds. Best Wishes to You!!!---Jon
