Dr Abraham White married Theodora Eliz. VON Driberg not VAN.This ladies' family descended from Friedrich Wilhelm von Driberg who was Commandant of Mullaitivu and died in 1807.He was probably a son of Diederich Carolus von Driberg who was Capt.Lt in the VOC and died in 1804.Capt Charles Driberg signed his name as 'Driberg' in a wedding register and later as 'Drieberg' the von was dropped early. This family was not in anyway connected to the family descended from Johannes Gerardus Drieberg who in 1878 married Johanna Horn apparently.My 'suspected ancestor, Anthony Sam.White is recorded in the register of St Matthews Bethnall Green which I have viewed on microfiche whereas the 7 children of Dr Abraham White must have been recorded in Ceylon where he married. Any info. will be gratefully received especially baptismal dates of the Doctor's children in Jaffna etc.
