Cross posting without cross referencing can duplicate effort and waste peoples' time. If I'd done a lot of work in response to your post of 4 Dec, cut and pasted from a duplicate post of two days earlier, only to find that someone else had provided the same detail the day before, I'd be brassed off, and would probably forget the query. So cross posting can be counter productive. If I'd wanted to be rude that's what I'd have been and I wouldn't have bothered to show you how you can help yourself. I've given you another source - www.familysearch.org
- on the other board, which is the one you should start with when looking for pre 1875 baptisms and marriages in England, and in Bedfordshire in particular. The same link will also give you the 1881 census, which no-one on the other board has mentioned yet.
How we spend our waking hours is a matter of personal choice. Mine is spent running my 13 year old around and helping others on genealogy boards, hence the 1,467 message board posts which you'll also see on my profile, not many of which are rude ones!. But I'm more active on other boards.
