Question for the history buffs the answer of which might solve some mysteries.
In the book “A Record of Shelford Parva” by Fanny Wale a history of Little Shelford Cambridgeshire, when writing about All Saints Church she states;
“It sustained much damage during the great rebellion of 1760”.
I have been unable to identify this great rebellion. Can anyone shed any light on it? The answer may explain some gaps in family events about this time.
