Marriage Certificate - Is this usual?

1) I received a copy from GRO of a marriage cert for William Nash & Ellen Kempton with very minimal details. There is no Father's Name & Surname (for either Ellen or William (& I do know certainly that Ellen had previously lived with her parents))& therefore no profession of father for either; neither Wm or Ellen had signed or made their mark & there are no signatures of witnesses & no signature of Registrar.

2) There were 2 entries for this marriage on freeBMD. These were Jun 1849, North Witchford, Cambs, Vol 14, page 191 and Dec 1849 North Witchford, Cambs, Vol. 14, page 262. I asked GRO to explain why there were 2 entries, but, when they supplied a copy of the certificate, they did not explain this.
