Richard Frankis is my 4th great grandfather, and his father was also called Richard,born 20 Dec 1696 in Painswick Goucestershire,dies, 26 Jun 1748 in Upton St Leonard.He was married to Sarah Bridges (1707-1773). I think Richard's father was William Frankis - born 07 Aug 1665 in Upton St. Leonard, died 18 Nov 1735 in Upton St Leonard, although I'm not 100% sure of this link as there seem to be an awful lot of Frankis' around! My huisbands family come from Cirencester (spooky!) so we're hoping to go and visit the graveyard at Upton St Leonards next time we visit his mother who still lives in Cirencester. I'm also hoping to see the parish records at some time but not sure when we'll be able to fit this in?
