Hi - I've reached an impasse trying to get my Ellington family tree farther back than Robert, 1752 to 1812, a RN Boatswain, who lived in the Gillingham area and married Sarah Rabbits (1761 to 1844).

I can see earlier records of Ellington's in the St Lawrence area but cant establish a link. I cant see on the net how to get St Lawrence Parish records. Also aware of the Ellington House history farther back. I can't find anything regarding Sarah's ancestry at all. Later records all indicate that both were born in Kent, though they married in Portsea, Hants.

Any ideas or thoughts would be most welcome! Thanks.
