Ancestry.com has a record for England & Wales, Criminal Registers 1791-1892 for a Morgan Brown, Date of Trial: Dec. 1826, Location: Kent, England, Crime: Horse stealing. Punishable by death. No indication of outcome. I am researching a Morgan Brown born abt. 1787 in Kent County, Maryland, U.S.A. His family originated in England and first came to the U.S.A. in the 1600s. He seems to have disappeared from Kent County, Maryland, U.S.A. and I wondered if this same person who was tried in England could be the same Morgan Brown. Additionally, I found a New South Wales & Tasmania, Australian Convict Muster, 1806-1849 on Ancestry.com which shows a Morgan Brown born abt. 1787 who arrived in New South Wales in 1827. Not sure if the England record and the Australian record are related. Any information you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Gloria
