Dear Philip,
I doubt from the time frame gone that you are still trying to locate my grandfather, Stanley
Haynes, but it was so lovely to find your post. My grandpa,
Stan was an absolutely lovely and magical man, full of exciting stories and music (although he was prone to forgot what he had actually said before and many times one of my siblings would fall asleep in our food bowl as he told another "tall tale"). No one in our family had any idea that he had been married previously until after he and my grandma died .
It would be wonderful to get any information on relatives of his and their talents. I have been in touch with our cousin, and her family have all been involved in music and one even played with the shadows. My family history searching isn't very impressive but you are welcome to share my tree. As far as children are concerned, apart from my mother, I have located only Gordon Thomas
Haynes, a
Gerard Haynes and I think my dad found a Joan
Haynes (but we're not sure about this. Stanley was born in Llannelly after Florence's brothers brought her back from Ireland. She later married
Sydney Haynes. Stanley used Curtis as a middle name as well as Patrick and Joseph (found on his first marriage certificate).
Anyway, apologies for the waffling and I hope you pick this up.
