I've successfully searched the London, England, School Admissions and Discharges, 1840-1911 list and noticed that there is a column called "Whether exemption from Religious Instruction is claimed". This column has codes next to each student entry. In the case of my ancestor, it is R.C. What is this? Roman Catholic? Other codes include C.S.B and F.B.
Anyone know what these mean?
