Missing chemist, believed dead!

Classification: Query
Surnames: Hanson
George Henry Hanson moved from Bristol to Lambeth Road Surrey, in 1878 (later known as South East London)where he was deregistered in 1886. Why? He was then registered in Newbury in 1889 and died there in 1900. He certainly had one child, Herbert Duncan Hanson, b.1873, or I should never have been born. George was married to Emma Stockwell. Looking for possible reasons for his moves - family stories of bankruptcy persist - any siblings for Herbert Duncan, possible living relatives in any of these areas. How could George have made ends meet while he was not registered as a chemist? Any help appreciated, willing to swap info.
