I am researching the surname STARK(E). After many years of searching Scotland for my original immigrant ancestor Dr Richard STARKE I have recently obtained information that he came to York Co, VA in 1686 on the ship "Morningstar" out of Liverpool. What is more interesting is that the Morningstar was owned by Thomas STARK of London and he also owned property in York Co, VA near where Dr Richard STARKE settled. Thomas STARK was a merchant of London and, from the records of the Library of Virginia, spent as much time in court as he did being a merchant. There are many many pages of records in the Colonial records project citing Thomas STARK suing and being sued over business dealings in the Colonies. Would like to find our if Dr. Richard STARKE may have attended either the Oxford or Cambridge medical school and if Dr Richard STARKE might have been a relative of Thomas STARK. I have much information on the descendants of Dr. Richard STARKE in the USA that I'm willing to share.
