Hi,Lovely to hear from you. I am descended from William who came to Australia with his parents William and Sophie. I am thinking he was born in Yarmouth (?) England and married Sarah Turner at St James Church in Sydney 1853 . He worked on Sydney Harbour as a lighterman and lived in North Sydney until his death in 1905. His wife lived until 1918 and had 11 children. My grandfather Albert Hayden Webb-Wagg was born in1870 and married my grandmother Josephine Clancy in 1895 at St Thomas C of E Church in North Sydney. They had 6 children,my father was the fifth John Joseph Webb-Wagg. By now they were all called Webb-Wagg. My dad was born in 1911 and married in1950. I am his younger daughter and I have 2 daughters. I am intrigued with any information you could give me about where the family came from and as I intend to visit England next year, any places that would be relevant ie churches, homes, work places. I am putting together all the information in Sydney that I can. I am wondering where the Webb comes from. I know that William deserted Sophie soon after they arrived here and am wondering if she met aWebb???? Also on William's gravestone 1905 he refers to himself as Webb-Wagg but his wife is on it as Wagg. Most of my male cousins have dropped the Wagg now.Looking forward to hearing from you and I can send you a copy of anything I put together. I am taking photos and collecting everything I can from my family. Leonie
