HI Janet,
I am tajing a chance here as I am at a brick wall. I am trying to trace my great grandfather on my dad's side who was homas Patrick Gregory. He was born 1898 in JOhannesburg and married a Beryl Frances McKenna. I cannot trace his parentage but is presumably Irish. On their marriage certificate there are 2 witnesses, a E M Hale which is Beryl's sister (married) and what appears to be a C J Lawrenson. The marriage took place at St Anne's Catholic Church, Johannesburg. Could this be your relative? And if so how was he connected to mine? Am tracing the witnesses in the hope they might be related etc.
Thanks.
Michelle.
