Surnames: NEAL,NEALE,NEIL, HOWARD,JOHNSON
I researching the family of Avis NEAL/NEALE/NEIL (it's been spelled various ways in the census') She was around 1830, or so I'd believe. They lived in
Downham Market, Downham, NORFOLK in 1841 and 1851.
He fathers GIVEN name has also been spelled many ways:
HALLEGE/HALLEDGE/HOLLEGE/HOLMAN etc. I've only been able
to find him in 1841 & 1851 census.
Halledge NEAL married Sarah ________? and had
1 SArah b. before Avis
She married John HOWARD.

2 Avis b. aprx 1832 d.1901
married 1851 to James Johnson. In the 1841 census
he was their "house servant".

I have NOTHING on James' background, and with all
the various spellings of Halledge NEAL/NEALE/NEIL, I'm
unable to find much on him either.
