Hello again, Misty. £9.25 is about $15. Ordering the certificate online via the secure government website is not putting your "info on the internet" and is an extremely safe method of payment. However, you can, if you prefer, make a postal application. To do this, you will need to download an application form from here:

http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/publications/agencies-public-bo...

Before completing the form, make sure you read the guidance notes (downloadable from the same page).

Ordering a certificate via the mail will require you to write your full credit card details on the application form. The risks involved in doing this are relatively slight, but they are still higher than those involved in purchasing online and you should bear this in mind when making your choice.

Either way, you will get the certificate much more quickly if you provide the GRO reference which is:

Name:
James Johnson

Date of Registration:
Oct-Nov-Dec 1851

Registration district:
Downham

Volume Number:
13

Page Number:
208

Hope this helps

Caroline
