"Does this happen often and is this like Wikipedia?"

If you mean inaccurate information on Ancestry trees, yes! The misinformation is worse than Wikipedia.

Never copy information from other trees; do your own research. Use the trees only as possible leads. As Sandra said, to do otherwise may cause you to find you're following the wrong family.

Have a good read of GENUKI (http://www.genuki.org.uk), the BMD tutorial at http://home.clara.net/dixons/Certificates/indexbd.htm, explore The National Archives (start here: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/start-here.htm), and read a few books from the library about researching family history.

You may find it helpful to join the BUCK surname mailing list (http://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/index/surname/b/buck.html...) and the Norfolk mailing list ()http://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/index/intl/ENG/NORFOLK.ht....

Good luck!
