Would Norfolk parish marriage records from 1820 contain parental info?

Surnames: Edgar, Durrant
Hi everyone

I have got a bit stuck on my paternal ancestry line. I have got back to my 4th great grandfather, Joseph Edgar. I have no date of birth for him, and no date of death. The only record I have is that he married Bridget (Bridgett) Durrant on 25 April 1820 in Lakenham, Norfolk.

As this predates 1837 I am unable to order the marriage certificate in order to obtain approximate ages for both newlyweds and, more importantly, their parents' information.

I understand that there would be a record of the marriage in the parish records held at Norfolk Register Office but before I make the considerable trip up to Norfolk (I'm in Berkshire!) I wondered if anyone could tell me whether the record will contain this important information?

If the records don't feature parents' names, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might find them? I have searched Ancestry for Joseph Edgar's birth information but I understand births weren't necessarily registered in those days.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who might be able to get past this sticking point!
