I am very interested in your mention of Warners of Witney , as my brick wall , my grandfather William James Warner was reputedly from there. He married my grandmother , who was very much younger , in Pontardulais near Swansea, South Wales , in 1913. He states he is a bachelor age 40 but this is suspect. He was a labourer on the railways and gave his father as William James Warner , horse dealer. His wife died in 1920 along with babies Charles and Walter , leaving my mum Sophia Edith age 4 and Will age 6. When the children reached 14 he found them work and lodgings and disappeared. I suspect the family may have been travellers. My grandfather could not sign his name when married. If you ever find someone matching my details in your tree I will be happy to hear from you.
