Robert Hill, Cattle Dealer, born 1825. Esther Stevens, wife of Robert, born 1830. They had 8 or 9 children, one of which was my Great Grand Father Sackville. No problem tracing the family up to 1871. Something happened to the Family between 1871 and 1881 as my Great Grandfather and his one brothers ended up on a ship to Canada in 1882. All traces of Robert & Esther are gone after 1871. Robert is a very common name and there are hundreds of death records but none seem to match up. Shaftesbury Homes records for Sackville were destroyed in a fire in 1950, so no luck there. Any ideas for another direction to solve this mystery would be greatly appreciated
