Colleagues

Following its unprecedented success, the hugely popular TV series "Who Do You Think You Are ?" launched a national history show a number of years ago. The event was called :-

"Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE"

Following the success of the event in recent years, the next history show of this name is to be held on the weekend of Friday 22 February 2012, Saturday 23 February 2012 and Sunday 24 February 2013. The event will again incorporate the former Society of Genealogists' Family History Show.

I'm delighted to report that Oxfordshire FHS will have a stall on all three days of this event - we'll be on stand 79 and 80. We will be selling our CDs and some items from our bookstall, including a number of new accessions. In addition, we will have our "Search Services" available on computer, featuring an array of Oxfordshire and North Berkshire indexes to censuses, baptism registers, marriage registers, burial registers and monumental inscriptions.

Those researchers wishing to plan their visit to our stall in advance can view our resources on the following webpages :-

Anyone wanting an impartial view as to what they might get from a day at the event should read this article in "The Family Recorder", the blog of Audrey Collins :-

Finally, please note that the offer of cheap tickets - two for £25.00 - expires shortly. In order to take advantage of this, please go to www.ofhs.org.uk and click on the link.

Best wishes.
