Re: Hayward family
Yes, I do!
Joshua John Hayward was the son of Eleazar and Jane Hayward, christened 29 September 1839. He was buried at St John the Baptist, Croydon on 25 May 1840 aged 13 months.
Another Joshua was born c1841. A Joshua Hayward was buried on 19 Nov 1861 aged 22 in St Peter's Churchyard, Croydon. He was living 'back of Anchor' - a reference to the local pub 'The Blue Anchor'.
The Joshua who might be your Joshua was born in 1839 [May-Sept]. He may also be known as Joshua John. He was still alive in 1851 and he was the son of Ebenezer and Martha [nee Mead]. He was one of nine children. I have no further info on him.
I would love to hear more about your Haywards to see where they all fit in. I have quite a bit of info on the Croydon Haywards although they are mostly fragments until I can get the jigsaw to fit.
Regards,
Catherine
