Surnames: Penney, Tootill, Turner
Hello,

I have a UK birth certificate that lists the mother as:

Mabel Penney late Tootill formerly Turner

Which is the Original surname? Would this be Tootill and Turner would therefore be a surname from a previous marriage, or would it be the other way around?
