As to what age we get to is a matter of luck (I am the only one of five siblings who reached the age of 30) I cannot see there is any particular virtue in how far back our generations stretch, however it can be a matter of amusing curiosity, so just for the record. My grandparents were born in 1837, 1837, 1855 and 1858. On the 1837 side (father's) my gt. grandfather was born in 1805 and my gt.gt. grandfather in 1770 (he married in Holy Trinity Church, Hull in 1797). Oh yes, I wasn't the youngest child I had a sister two years younger.
