Surnames: Grose, Ashe
Is there by any chance an Elizabeth GROSE (b. 1797 in Somerset) in your tree? She married Obadiah ASHE (b. 1794 in Cornwall). I'm fairly certain that my g-g-g-grandfather James Wilton ASHE (b 1829 in Cornwall) was their son. He was a mining engineer, and was captain of at least two lead mines on the I-O-M in the 1860's.
