Hugh Swan and Matilda Dickey had a son called James Dickey Swan,he died in 1869. One of the executors of the will was a William Dempster Lawther.

I am descended from a Hugh Dickey who was married at Millrow Presbyterian church in 1816. The same William Dempster Lawther was a witness at one of my Dickey marriages. Strangely enough I have linked this Lawther family to my subsequent Ashe ancestors and of course another daughter of Hugh Swan and Matilda Dickey, Mary, was married to a George Ash. Also lots of Matildas in my family tree.
It just goes round and round.
