I was corresponding a few years ago with a gent who lives (lived) in Culross, near the Blaws ancestral home Castlehill, which now is Dunimarle - and now owned by a Briton with a middle eastern surname!
I wouldn't be at all surprised if there were other connections - business or familial - as my grandfather's (Dinsmore) and grandmother's families owned textile mills, confectionary business, held positions in governance of education, and other enterprises in the UK, US and Canada in the mid-19th to mid-20th Centuries.
