From PRONI, this week I received this and believe it to be the couple referred to in earlier posts albeit the wife's name is "Janet" nor "Jonal" -
Alexander Holmes, Cregan, Barony of Glenarm in the County of Antrim"... Will date 30 April 1728; Probate date to executors 9 July 1729.
I bequeath to my wife, Janet four cows and ye bay horse and ye fourth part of the farm and the third part of the household plenishing.
To my son Andrew the Dunn filly and the third part of the plenishing of this house.
To my daughter Jane...a bay mare and one third of the household plenishing.
To my son James daughter Ann Holmes a three year old heifer to my son Hughs son Allexander(sic) Holmes Carmichall a filly.
All residue to be divided between my sons James Hugh and Andrew and my daughter Jane provided my son Hugh have one-sixth of the farm as it is down this year"...
