Sir Edward Coey (1805-1887) of Larne & Belfast

Surnames: Coey, Fullerton, Moore
I am interested in learning about the ancestors and descendants of Sir Edward Coey, former Lord Mayor of Belfast. He was born March 1805 and died June 26, 1887 in Antrim County. He was married to Alice Crow of Durham Co., England. The couple is supposed to be buried at a family tomb in McGarel Cemetery in Larne. Alice died in 1876.

In the old cemetery at Kilwaughter, JW and E. Coey dedicated a monument to their parents, James Coey (~1767 to 3 June 1807) and Agnes Fullerton (~1777 to 1 Aug 1854). I believe that these are the parents of Sir Edward Coey.

The Chesley, Ontario, Canada obituary of my ggg-grandfather William Fullerton Moore (1818-1908) indicates that he was a cousin of Sir Edward Cooie (sic), lord mayor of Belfast. William was the youngest son of Thomas Moore (~1758-1843) and Margaret Fullerton (1776-?) of Kilwaughter and Larne.

I suspect that Agnes (Fullerton) Coey and Margaret (Fullerton) Moore were sisters. I also suspect that they are sisters of Samuel Fullerton (~1767-1845) of Kilwaughter and they are all the children of Hugh & Rose Fullerton of Kilwaughter.

These are just my assumptions, but I hope to find some proof to back all of this up.

Thank you for any possible assistance!
