Graeme:
McAloney/McAlonan family which imiigrated to Parrsboro. My problem when I traced the 11 different McAloney/McAlonan men that came to Parrsboro and some ended up in the US and western Canada they all entered Parrsboro Nova Scotia about the same time and I found no other "McAloney" name in North American and I talked to every one that did not come into the same Port. Now my question has always been How could they not be related with such a rare name and such a small port that was difficult to sail to back then. My book traces all 11 lines and has 4,000 people. So anything you can add would be marvelous. I would be delighted to send you my whole McAloney data base for you to check for related branches.
