Thanks for your reply and the information. Yes the Quaker records are difficult and I will be looking at some more for a few other family members-another branch Kerr-that I believe came to the same area and were also Irish Quakers. The records are difficult and you are right they do not contain the info you really want. That is one reason I am having trouble making a connection. I am down to 2 John Mortons at least in the same area. I can say that there is a Lurgan Township, Franklin County, PA! I have noticed the naming of new places based on old names. There is also a town Armagh in the area where I am looking.
I now have one John Morton a Quaker and one John Morton a Covenater as possible fathers to Elizabeth Morton.
