I have traced my great-great grandparents back to Armagh, Ireland. I do not know where to go from here. Their names are David and Sarah Mills. They left Armagh in 1853 and travelled to Liverpool and then aboard the ship Lizzie Harward to Baltimore (arriving Oct/1/1853). David was born abt. 1830 and they were travelling with their 6 week old infant son, John.
They attended a Catholic Church in Baltimore, but I believe that John was actually Protestant. Also, I think that Mills is actually a British surname. I have read the in the area of Armagh many plots of land were taken from the Irish and given to British. I have no idea.
Can anyone tell me what would be my next logical step in tracing the history of David and Sarah?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
