Greetings from New Zealand.
I recently rec'd DNA results which indicated that my nearest known relative was Ray McConnell of Tandagaree, Armagh. I have no other documentary evidence of this. My g.g.g. grandafather was John Mc Connell m. to Margaret Watt and I estimate that he was born around 1800.
Their son was Hugh McConnell b. 1821 Edinburgh, Midlothian Scotland.
Family oral history states that as far is known they located themselves in Ayrshire but prior to that it "could be" Armagh. So if you think there is any connection I would love to hear from you.
Regards
Gordon
