Glad I found your message. Edith Pierson was born during the 1st Quarter of 1898 and died in the Niagra Falls area of Canada in 1962. The 1911 Census for Northern Ireland records that she was aged 13 and was a scholar. On 5 August 1926, at Ballymore Parish Church, Edith Pierson, a dressmaker and spinster of full age, from Brackagh, married Abraham Hodgen, a farmer and bachelor of full age, from Brackagh. Edith was the daughter of James Pierson, a farmer, and Abraham was the son of Joseph Hodgen, a farmer. The witnesses were Joseph Hodgen and Annabella Hodgen. There is no trace of any children born in Northern Ireland to this marriage. In 1927 Abraham (30) and Edith (28) Hodgen sailed from Londonderry to Halifax, Canada. Abraham, who was born in 1895, died in 1982 in Canada. Abraham and Edith are buried in Lundy’s Cemetery, Niagra Falls.
I have a lot of information on Edith's family tree. It would appear that you and I are related. I would love to know about Edith and Abraham's descendants. Perhaps you would email me directly.
