Thanks for that, Marion.
After extensive research I have come up with the following, but am unsure where to go next.
14 Jan 1800 Bridget Young born to Edmund Young/Elinore Joyce - Townland 'Lacken'
27 Dec 1802 Daniel Young born to Edmond Young/Eleonore Joyce - Townland 'Lacken'
2 May 1805 Mary Young born to Ned Young/Ellen Young - Townland 'Lacken'
7 Nov 1807 Winny Young born to Ned Young/Eilin xxxxx - Townland 'Lacken' *** I assume this child passed away shortly after her birth.
23 Dec 1808 Winny Young born to Ned Young/Eilin xxxx - Townland 'Lacken'
2 Jun 1811 Margaret Young born to Ned Young/Eilin xxxx - Townland 'Lacken'
It is here that records finish and re-start in 1825.
I have nothing to confirm that my 'Ellen Young' who was born in Co Carlow in 1822 with her father as 'Edmund Young' is connected with this family but this is the only 'Young' family that I can find in the records for Carlow at this point in time.
I am unable to find any records re the childer of Edmund/Eilin Young (births/marriages) in the records for Carlow which makes me wonder if the whole family moved at the time of the 'Hunger'.
So that's about it.
When the bread's fresh, and the butter hard, what do you do????
Kind regards,
Mark.
