Hi,

I am looking for info re a Ellen Young who was born in 1822 in Co Carlow. She later married a William Smith in 1854, in a Catholic church in Derby, England.
On her marriage cert she gives her father as Edward/Edmund Young - deceased.
I have located a Edmund/Eilin Young in Lacken, Co Carlow c1800 but, unfortunately, the records are incomplete for the period of Ellen's birth.
I think that she probably left Ireland around the time of the 'Hunger'.

Does anyone have any suggestions, as the man says?
