Hello - is this thread still active? perhaps better late than never!
Two of the Rev. Thomas Robert Matthews children married Clarkes, descendants of William Clarke of Farran, actuually after the Rev's death, namely Capt. Horace Lionel Matthews married Amy Marguerite Clarke, daughter of William Ruddell Clarke 7 December 1921 and Emmeline Harriett Matthews married Capt. Thomas Arthur Clarke grandson of Wiliam Clarke, in 1927. Emmeline was his second wife (Kathleen Lumley Perrier had died in 1926. Neither had any children.

I have just found this which is interesting about Moviddy, the Rector, Clarkes and Warrens.

I note that the Rev Thomas's mother was Ellen Clarke, what were her origins?
