JANUARY 31st 1877 MARY HEDDERMAN from CROSS
Parents: JOHN HEDDERMAN & MARY KETT
Sponsor: HONOR Behen? not Belson? or Be????s Priest: Revd M O’Gorman, C.C.
[ See Kett surname, also from Kilfearagh, 5 miles north, and just south of Kilkee. Although Mary’s mother Mary was married further north, at Doonbeg? ]
Mary is likely to be their 5th child of 7, after Thomas, Michael, David & Catherine.
[ --- Sibling information copied to here :---
[ See below : [ looks like Kelt / Kett, not Kelly ? see others. Several Kett’s lived @ Kilfearagh, Kilrush in 1855 Griffith’s Valuations.
JULY 14th 1874 THOMAS HEDDERMAN from CROSS
Parents : JOHN HEDDERMAN & MARY KETT [ Kett is correct; but this Mary’s family was from north Clare, at Doonbeg? Others were from just up north a few miles at Kilfearagh?, south of Kilkee.
Their original land at Ballykett was attainted after 1650(?), & given to “English Gentry”. Thomas is likely to be their 4th child, after Michael, David & Catherine.
[ It’s that surname KETT again, but always with a strange ‘double-tt’ character set at the end. SEE PHOTO CLOSEUPS. [ Looks a bit like Kells or Ketts or Kelly? Keth = Keeffe? or Kelt or Keith / Keth ? ]
Sponsor : BRIDGET Delohery Revd M O’GORMAN
SEPTEMBER 22nd 1871 all as Hetherman, KATE HEDDERMAN from CROSS
Parents: JOHN HEDDERMAN & MARY KETT [Married at Doonbeg, -- not Kilfearagh, south of Kilkee?, c. Feb 25th 1868. ]
Sponsors: DENIS HEDDERMAN & BRIDGET HASSETT Revd D Smyth
[This Catherine Hedderman would be their 3rd child, after Michael & David.]
[ To help WordSearch, this surname would have been pronounced as Hetherman, but correctly spelled : Kate Hedderman / Cate Hedderman / Catherine Hedderman / John Hedderman / Denis Hedderman ]

APRIL 3rd 1870 DAVID HEDDERMAN from CROSS [ all as Hederman ]
Parents: JOHN HEDDERMAN & MARY KETT [ Kett -- see others. Several Kett’s lived @ Kilfearagh, Kilkee (& Doonbeg & Kilrush?) in the 1855 Griffiths Valuations, and also including 1874, etc. ]
Sponsor: MARY HEDDERMAN Revd Pat White [All as Hederman.]
[ David must be their 2nd born, after Michael.
JANUARY 25th 1869 MICHAEL HEDDERMAN from CROSS
Parents: JOHN HEDDERMAN & MARY KETT [This is the correct spelling.]
Sponsor: Mrs A. Dwyer = Mrs Antony Dwyer? There was a ‘dynasty of Antony Dwyers’
Priest: Revd Thomas McMahon , as his usually obscure initials : IWMn = TMcM ]
[ I checked this : There was / is a family Kett up north near Kilkee / Doonbeg. When written, the double-tt looks like a very fancy, crossed- ‘H’. ]
[ It looks as though they followed custom and married at the bride’s Doonbeg church around Feb 25th 1868. In that case, this Michael would be their 1st-born. Afterwards, they must have lived nearer to John Hedderman’s home-farm at Cross / Killeenagh. For younger siblings of Michael, see below. ]
