Would love to go to Dublin but living in NZ makes it something one cannot do often. I have visited the Clare Heritage Centre and met Antoinette. The Centre did the original search for my grandfathers family prior to my visit to Ireland, and through their report was able to make personal contact with many relatives in Ireland, Australia and England. Haven't been to the FHC in my town of Palmerston North but will get there soon.
My grandfather Edmond McKenna and his brothers James and Michael came out to NZ in 1873 from the ownland of Ballyloughnane, parish of Ogonnelloe. A sister Anne went to Australia and we have some idea that one brother went to the USA but not confirmed as yet. Our family tree is on the Family Tree Maker site. I have a home page there.
Haven't read Grenham's book as yet but think I've seen it somewhere. I have his Clans and Families of Ireland and Tony McCarthy's The Irish Roots Guide.
Sorry... I'm unsure as to what your reference blow is all about:
"Per "Irish Roots" article:
Ennis Sessions, Tuesday, March 26th, 1833
Case # 5
Extract from Co Clare Ejectment Book 1D 40 21."
Is this something I should know about?
