My mother was born on scatters island in 1919 to John and Kathleen Moran. She was the youngest of twelve. She was in Birmingham at the end of WW2 where she met and married my dad. Most of her brothers and sisters lived in and around Kilrush although one of her brothers had a farm at Knock. Her sister, my aunt Delia lived at Ballynote House, Kilrush.
