I also have a family genealogical chart (written by hand in 1950). William Smith Bryan was the son of Francis Bryan II and Ann Smith. Sources say he was Marquis of Thomond resisting Cromwell in 1649 and thus deported as a rebellous subject to Isle of Wight, Virginia, USA. As an Irish-American I have always loved Ireland and dreamed of visiting some day. My children are giving us a trip to Ireland in September for about ten days, which doesn't give me much time to see beautiful Ireland and do extensive research. I was hoping to gather some information before getting there and I'm sure a genealogical search could be done by the Heritage Center, I just may not have the resources to hire them. I would love to hear from anyone who thinks they might be my cousins!
