Edmund Liddy was my great great grandfather and part of the farm he worked in Middletown was incorporated in the borough of Keansburg when that town was established in 1917 while his son Patrick was living there. The Keansburg High School is built on property that was once theirs and was taken by the state of New Jersey under eminent domain. My brother indicated that it was in arrears on taxes. The last survivor on the farm was my great aunt Della who was married to James Liddy. Name was later spelled Leddy. My mother was called Jessie Liddy in 1927 when she married my father, but later always known as Jessie Leddy Best.
