HI: Away back when forty years ago BC before computers + internet My wife I would drive many trips to Newmarket and Barrie to find some information in census and newspapers. Her paternal grand-mother was Margaret d/o Michael Haskett and Mary Howard who married 26 Nov 1854 at St John RC Church, Newmarket, Ont.
Some twenty years later the family: parents and nine children packed up and moved by wagon to 100 acre farm in Vespra Twp near Barrie. Two Sons and two daughters would marry. First Margaret met, married 1884, and moved in with a fellow a few miles up the road. A span of 16 yrs would pass when David married 1901 at Phelpston, George married 1903 at Gravenhurst and Sarah married 1907 at Barrie.
Eventually the journey ends and this Haskett family, except David, would be interred at St Mary cemetery, Barrie. What amazes me is the trail of many photos passed along over a century have parked with us. Wm D
